How do I get to Ranong ... ?

You can get to Ranong by Plane, Bus or Taxi:

By Plane www.happyair.co.th :

Happy Air is announcing a new route Bangkok-Ranong-Phuket, departing from Suvarnabhumi International Airport to Ranong 14.50 and from Ranong to Phuket 16.50. Return flight from Phuket to Ranong 11.20, Ranong Bangkok 12.30. Flights will be operating two times a week, Friday and Sunday, 2.800,- THB each way Bangkok-Ranong and 1.300,-THB Ranong-Phuket. You can book your flight with us and you will receive an eticket. We only provide this service for our Liveabord customers. We will need passport number and full name.

By Bus

Bangkok - Ranong:

Both air-conditioned and non air-conditioned buses depart from Bangkok's Southern Bus Terminal to Ranong every day for the approximately 8-hour trip. Air-conditioned buses, varying in 3 types, depart from Bangkok at the following times:

VIP Bus: 8 p.m.
Standard 1 Bus: 9:00 am, 9:10 am, 8:20 pm, 8:30 pm and 9:00 pm.
Standard 2 Bus: 8:50 am, 1:50 pm, 5:30 pm and 7:30 pm.
For a current schedule and further information, please call the Southern Bus Terminal at tel.: 0 24351199, 0 24351200 or the Ranong Bus Station at tel.: 0 7781 1548. 

Suratthani - Ranong:
Air-conditioned bus from Suratthani: 8:00 am / 2:00 pm.

From Ranong: 8:00 am / 2:00 pm.
Minibus from Suratthani: every hour from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm.
From Ranong: every hour from 6:00 am to 11:00 am and 12:30 pm / 2:30 pm / 3:30 pm. The trip takes about 3 hours.
Chumphon - Ranong:
Air-conditioned bus
from Chumphon: 5:50 am, 8:30 am, 10:30 am, 12:30 pm.

From Ranong: 1:30 pm, 5:30 pm, 7:30 pm, 21:15 pm.

Minibus from Chumphon: every hour from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.

From Ranong: every hour from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.
The trip takes about 2 hours.

Phuket - Khao Lak - Ranong:

Air-conditioned buses run every day from Phuket to Ranong, passing through Khao Lak:

From Phuket: 8:10 am, 10:00 am, 11:50 am, 2:00 pm, 3:50 pm, 6:10 pm.

From Khao Lak: 9:50 am, 11:50 am, 1:50 pm, 3:50 pm, 5:40 pm, 8:00 pm.

From Ranong: 8:10 am, 9:30 am, 10:30 am, 12:30 pm, 2:30 pm, 4:30 pm.

What about Hotel in Ranong ... ?

We have many nice hotels in Ranong Prices from 200 - 2500 tb.

If You are member of our Dive Club you can get some good discount on Hotel and Restaurant in Ranong.

Can I be picked up on Koh Phayam ... ?

If we go to Similan or Surin we can pick you up on Koh Phayam when we are going out.

If it's a Burma trip you have to go on board in Ranong.

How do I make booking ... ?

What time is the boat leaving Ranong ... ?

The boat will leave about 17.00, but you have to be in our Dive center 2 hours before departure on trips in Thailand and 4 hours before Burma trips.

What about Insurance ... ?

We will make Liability insurance on you. This will only cover accidents on board, and not the diving. We strongly recommend that you have a dive insurance.

What should I bring with me ... ?

You diver certification card and logbook. You will not need must onboard just bring some light close, sun creme, sunglasses, toiletries and camera.

What types of tanks are om board ... ?

We are using 12 l. aluminum tanks with K valve. We will have DIN adaptor on board but let us know before departure.
